get_service_line_prices

A market's or a hospital's negotiated prices across a whole SERVICE LINE in ONE call: GI endoscopy, MRI, CT, cardiology, orthopedics, maternity, lab, and the rest of CMS's 70 shoppable services grouped the way buyers shop. For each code: how many hospitals price it, the market median (median of hospital medians), the 25th to 75th percentile, the low and high, and the multiple of Medicare. For each hospital: its price per code and a service-line index (its typical multiple of Medicare across the line), ranked low to high.

ARGS: service_line (call with service_line='list' to see every line and its codes) or codes (up to 30 CPT/HCPCS or MS-DRG). state (2 letters, required: prices are stored by state). Optional: hospitals (up to 25 CCNs) or cbsa (CMS's wage-index CBSA or metro division: Miami 33124, Houston 26420) to narrow the market; line_of_business (commercial default, medicare_advantage, medicaid, exchange, unspecified); billing_class (institutional default = the facility price; professional = the physician fee); limit (hospitals listed, default 25, max 100).

RULES the tool applies: posted negotiated DOLLAR rates the comparability screen calls real (never a percent of charges); one median per method (case rate, fee schedule, per diem never mixed); line of business never pooled; a DRG is a whole inpatient stay, a CPT code one procedure.
